Recently more villains have been entering into the fray even the playing field for villains against neutrals but there are still a surplus more of heroes than villains. Though the villains are certainly putting up a fight to further themselves very quickly.

 The Guide to Weaknesses

Go down

PostSubject: The Guide to Weaknesses   Fri Jan 15, 2016 2:28 am

I'm sure that when DC Comics thought up the idea of Kryptonite as the ultimate foil for Superman, they shouted "brilliant" at the top of their lungs and called it a day. But weaknesses have become more complicated, my friends. It's less acceptable in this day and age to have some strange weakness that makes no sense whatsoever.

"But Dar," you say, "we can't think of...ANY weaknesses for these great new characters we're making." Well, worry not, my friends. This will be a simple guide to common weaknesses found in the super hero universe. Feel free to take.

Weakness: Water
Why? Water puts out fire. You can't make massive fireballs if you're underwater. Is your fire character completely soaked? Maybe his powers are weakened.

Weakness: Electricity
Why? Water conducts electricity. Your water bender will be shocked, literally, when his wall of water does nothing to defend him against Electroman's lightning blast.Who could have guessed.

Weakness: Ice
Why? Now I know what you're saying. Dar, isn't ice water? It is, my friends. I'm glad you've been paying attention. But in it's solid form, ice does not conduct electricity. Now it may not be as obvious a defense as rubber, but in a pinch it just might save your icy butt.

Weakness: Fire
Why? Now I know you didn't see this one coming. It's like these elements all go in a circle or something. It's like there's balance in nature! Fire melts ice. And while ice can kinda sorta weaken fire...a little bit, it's like a marshmallow trying to stop a train. Place your bets on fire.

Weakness: Light/Holy
Why? Darkness can't exist where there is light. Darkness is usually really strong against everything else, but once light is thrown into the mix, Darkness throws in the towel. But dry your tears, little shadow dancers, for you shall have your day.

Weakness: Everything Except Darkness
Why? Light is really great at getting rid of shadows. It is double effective against it. But against other things, it's just kinda...light. Sure, you brightened up the room, but you didn't deal with the mutated monster that's trying to eat us. A laser beam is sure to hurt it, of course, but you might as well have brought a gun.

There are more weaknesses to come, fellow members. If you have some weaknesses you want to contribute, by all means post them here.
